ABBA (Father)

I think we can all agree that some of the most important things in our lives include love, family, water, food, truth, and trust. Often when we lose one or more of these things, we tend to lose ourselves as well. This is in terms of mental disorders such as depression and anxiety. The depression that can overtake us after losing a loved one, or after realizing you don’t have the money to pay the rent that’s due tomorrow. Another thing we can all agree that life is hard. That things don’t always go our way. Our lives don’t always turn out the way our twelve-year-old minds had imagined. You don’t always end up married at a certain age, you don’t always have two parents in the family, and not everyone has the luxury of being well off money wise.

But.

Yes, there’s a ‘but’ in this equation called life.

But, then there’s Jesus.

Although life didn’t go the way you planned and you may be lacking in any or more than one of those areas, I mentioned at the beginning of this, there’s still hope. There is still a way out. There is still a light at the end of the tunnel. The world may tell you that you’re a lost cause because you were born in a certain place, with a certain skin color, a certain ethnicity, you are with or without a family, because you didn’t finish school, or didn’t learn how to read. But I came here to tell you today that none of that is true.

There’s that word again, truth. Who are you going to believe? The lies the enemy feeds you? The lies this world feeds you? Are you going to choose to believe the circumstances that surround you, or are you willing to believe in Him who is the Truth? In Him who is the Living water, the bread of life, the One who holds your days in the palm of His hand. The One who hides you with the Shadow of His wing. The One who created you. He is your Father, your best friend. The only one in this life who will never let you down. He is the one who took His time molding you like clay. The Potter of all potters, the best artist of all time. The Alpha and the Omega. The beginning and the End. Who was and is, and is to come back for His chosen. The one who hasn’t forgotten you, the One who hasn’t left you behind. The One who is calling out to you NOW. If your excuse is that you can’t hear Him, then hear Him NOW. It is not a coincidence that you are reading these words right now. It is not a coincidence that you were born. You were created with a purpose and born for a time such as this.

Now it is time for you to make a choice. Do you choose to believe in death and destruction, do you choose to believe the depression and the anxiety, do you choose to believe the empty bank account and endless late bills, or do you choose to believe in a Father that clothes the flowers of the fields in the most extravagant of colors? The Father who feeds all of birds of the air and all the fish in the sea. The Father who is reaching out to you now and says, “ I will take care of you, don’t worry for what you will eat or drink, I AM in control.”

The Word of God in Jeremiah 17:7-8 says, “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

There will come heat, there will come drought, there will come bad things in life, but those who trust in the Lord will be like that tree planted by the water. Without fear, worries, or doubts. He is in control.

Pray with me:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Hallowed be thy name. Your Kingdom come; your will be done. Thank you, my Jesus, for what you did on that Cross. You took all the pain, so I didn’t have to. You made the sacrifice in my place. You tore the veil so that today I could feel your presence with me wherever I go. I ask that you take away all my fears, worry, stress, depression, anxiety, and pain today. I’m letting go Lord, and I’m choosing to let you lead me Jesus. I’m done. I’m tired, I’m worn out, I’m stressed out. I can’t take it anymore. I give it to you Lord. I will no longer hold on to any of it. I choose you today, Jesus. Today and always for the rest of my life. I choose you Jesus. Thank you, Lord, thank you Father for your love and mercy on my life. Thank you, Abba (Father).

In your precious name Jesus I pray, Amen. Amen and Amen.

There is healing in this place. He holds your days. Trust in Him, you are not alone.

Shalom, friends.

Please feel free to message me if you want to pray together, if you need to talk to someone, if you just need someone to listen. God Bless you all.
